Presentation: The Language of Grief: Talking with Clients in Your Practice
Fredda Wasserman, MFT, CT
Grief is its own universe, filled with its own unique language and responses. Give yourself the opportunity to increase your ability to talk about death and grief with your clients and to practice compassionate language that is comforting when speaking to grieving children and adults. Leave with community resources and a more comprehensive understanding of how you can provide current and potential clients with support.
Fredda Wasserman, Clinical Director of Adult Programs and Education at OUR HOUSE, grief support center, has dedicated her career to working with people experiencing health challenges, facing end-of-life, and grieving. She leads workshops and retreats on mind/body healing, has a series of guided imagery/meditation CDs for relaxation & stress management, and in her West Los Angeles practice, offers individual and group therapy, and professional consultation.
This course provides 2 hours of continuing education for California MFTs and LCSWs. AAMFT is the continuing education provider (PCE 253).
