A New & Exciting Opportunity for Westside-Area MFTs, Interns, Trainees, Students

The Successful Ongoing Collaboration Between SM-WLA & LA-CAMFT

    2010 & 2011 Meeting Dates

Become a part of the Santa Monica-West L.A. Networking District, a professional community that increases the business, professional and clinical expertise, success and visibility of MFT's, students, and interns, who serve the local communities on the Westside and work with individuals, couples, and families in private practice, community and governmental agencies, schools, clinics, businesses, counseling centers, and hospitals.

Family-friendly mental health professionals who attend our district meetings can expect to take home high quality business, professional and community information, and resources to use personally, and in their particular practice setting with clients, employees, colleagues, and organizations.

Did you know that in March 2009, because of the amazing success Lynne Azpeitia, MFT, and Karen Wulfson, MFT, had with starting, developing, and maintaining the Santa Monica-West LA Networking District Meetings, their core leadership team member, Jonathan Flier, MFT, asked Lynne and Karen if they would partner with him to help him revitalize and start up LA-CAMFT again--and let LA-CAMFT use the successful meeting format, forms, policies, procedures, marketing, and committee structure that they had originated?

Yes, Lynne and Karen generously agreed to help Jonathan and to let LA-CAMFT use the intellectual property they had created.

Since that initial request, the Santa Monica-West LA Networking District of AAMFT (SM-WLA) and the Los Angeles Chapter of CAMFT (LA-CAMFT) have partnered together to bring our local MFT Community together for a Brunch and Networking Meeting each month.

Lynne Azpeitia, MFT and Karen Wulfson, MFT, SM-WLA District Co-Chairs and Jonathan Flier, MFT, LA-CAMFT President, have worked together along with the boards and committees of both organizations to transform monthly meetings into an interesting and invigorating joint gathering for the members of both organizations and the local MFT community.

As a result of our collaboration and change of venue, attendance at the SM-WLA meetings has increased from 65-70 people per meeting to 100-125 per meeting, increasing opportunities for connection, jobs, internships, and other opportunities.

We are proud to offer quality professional development presentations, CEUs, and opportunities to network with other local professionals at our meetings for an affordable price. If you haven't experienced the wonderful sense of connection and community at our joint meetings, please join us to experience it firsthand.

The SM-WLA-- LA-CAMFT collaboration will produce nine monthly meetings in 2010.

Our meetings feature brunch, networking, speakers, announcements, opportunity drawings and CEUs. Feel supported. Share knowledge. Learn new things. Take home high quality information and resources. Increase your business, professional and clinical expertise. Expand your practice of marriage & family therapy.

Get in on the ground floor and become part of our professional community.
