The American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT-CA) represents the professional interests of thousands of marriage and family therapists and other health professionals throughout California. We deeply value our strategic alliances that have contributed to our evolution.
Each Mind Matters is California’s Mental Health Movement. We are millions of individuals and thousands of organizations working to advance mental health. The mental health movement certainly didn’t start with us, but Each Mind Matters was created to unite all of us who share a vision of improved mental health and equality.
Every day, millions of people face stigma related to mental health because they or their loved ones are facing a challenge. Many of these people feel isolated and alone, going years before receiving any help. Our goal is to amplify the voices of all people who want to put an end to this stigma, creating a community where everyone feels comfortable reaching out for the support they deserve.
Building powerful tools to help you get where you’re going. The idea for SimplePractice came from our desire to build a practice management software product that would be simple, intuitive and easy to use. The core product provides the necessary features to run your practice and help meet the legal and ethical requirements to document treatment and protect patient information.
Simplify, simplify, simplify. We believe that simplicity should be at the core of our products. Our goal is to make secure, powerful, and easy-to-use software that exceeds your expectations.
Continuous innovation. We are committed to working to always improve the user experience and responsibly add features that bring value to the product.
The most important part of our company is you. SimplePractice is built for you and supporting your success is one of our top priorities. We strive to provide you with unparalleled support and encourage you to let us know how we can improve our products to serve you better.
We are passionate about therapy, and about marketing. We know that it takes more than just a website to deliver the new patient growth that a therapy practice needs in order to thrive. TherapySites is your go-to resource to build a complete web presence that touches prospective patients everywhere they are looking.
Our product was developed to make it easy for you to focus on helping your clients, rather than spending your time on technology or marketing. Try it out and see for yourself why we are the leader in online therapy marketing, and why over 100 therapy associations are proud to call us partners. Then start a trial – it’s free – and after you see how easy it is to use our tool to build and launch your web presence, you’ll be raving too.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a unique, short-term approach to therapy with an attachment-based outlook. First developed by Susan Johnson and Les Greenberg, this highly successful method is based upon research done by John Bowlby over 50 years ago.
Bowlby discovered that higher intelligence animals seem to have an inherent need to feel a sense of support and attachment. He described attachment as the “lasting psychological connectedness between human beings” (Bowlby, 1969). Many are familiar with the idea of attachment in terms of parenting, but do not realize EFT’s immense value to creating bonds in other loving relationships, such as marriage.
